We are a refiner of superior grade shellac and shellac based glazes used as coatings in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, confectionary, cosmetic and children’s toy industries (see “Applications”).

Seedlac, the raw material, is a naturally produced organic product (see “Raw Materials”). the refined product, Shellac, is an FDA (GRAS) accepted natural resin coating and glazing product. Shellac is the foremost organic alternative to synthetic, bovine and petroleum based coatings and glazing products that are currently used in many of today's consumed products. Petroleum based polymer alternative products can carry harmful by-products such as benzene, ethylene, and dioxin, along with monomers and any reaction catalysts used in the manufacturing process.

Consumers are better informed today about the impact of synthetic "dirty" toxic and non-biodegradable products on human and pet health. Manufacturers of pharmaceutical and agricultural products and children’s toys are compelled to search out and employ natural "green" coating and binder product alternatives to those currently used (see “Who We Are”).

We believe that we provide a pure, natural quality product that meets and/or exceeds the regulatory and statutory requirements of the US FDA and of Health Canada. We also provide Non-GMO certification with our products. In addition, our production methods meet kosher production standards (see “Our Facility”).
